POSTPONED! Becoming Whole: Self-Compassion As a Tool for Integration

  • The New School, Albert and Vera List Academic Center 6 East 16th Street New York, NY, 10003 United States (map)

Hosted by Psychedelic Sangha NYC - THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED FOR PUBLIC HEALTH REASONS. STAY TUNED FOR THE NEW DATE.

Life experience can leave us fractured, but we do not have to fix everything that is broken to find ease. We can begin by allowing the various aspects of ourselves simply to be there, by learning to give ourselves a break.

Self-compassion is a gentle self-regard and commitment to self-care, which urges us to treat ourselves as we would a good friend. In this 2-hour session, we will work with meditation, discussion and other experiential exercises to explore self-compassion as a means for self-healing. We will focus on ways of regarding ourselves that accommodate all of who we are—what we don’t want to see as well as what we value about ourselves.
