Join me online in this event sponsored by Psychedelic Sangha, NYC.
This event will take place on Zoom at 8 PM Eastern / 5 PM Pacific. Please register to receive event link.
Life is difficult always, but during pandemic our hearts are stretched to their limits by opposites — from the enormity of suffering to the glory of heroic kindness. On top of this, we have great uncertainty about what lies ahead.
In this 90-min virtual session, we will explore how the common humanity of shared grief and the cultivation of self-care can sustain you in these times of massive change in our lives and world. We will work with meditation, discussion and experiential exercises to explore how softening our hearts to our own pain and the pain of others can make us individually and collectively stronger than ever.
Changes, Face the Strange: Meditations on Impermanence
Daniel Sitaram Das Shankin and I are leading an online session through Tam Integration exploring the transitory nature of experience. We will visit practices that can help you ride through uncertainty with a sense of stability and openness. Half of all proceeds will be donated to World Central Kitchen, Chef Jose Andres' wonderful charity, which is working to feed communities marginalized by the COVID-19 pandemic. Join us!
POSTPONED! Becoming Whole: Self-Compassion As a Tool for Integration
THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED FOR PUBLIC HEALTH REASONS. STAY TUNED FOR THE NEW DATE. Life experience can leave us fractured, but we do not have to fix everything that is broken to find ease. We can begin by allowing the various aspects of ourselves simply to be there, by learning to give ourselves a break.
Self-compassion is a gentle self-regard and commitment to self-care, which urges us to treat ourselves as we would a good friend. In this 2-hour session, we will work with meditation, discussion and other experiential exercises to explore self-compassion as a means for self-healing. We will focus on ways of regarding ourselves that accommodate all of who we are—what we don’t want to see as well as what we value about ourselves.
